Tata is offering a subscription plan for the Nexon EV. Recently, it is confirmed that the monthly subscription fee for this model will be lowered by up to Rs 12,500.

Earlier this year, Tata Motors initiated the new subscription program for the Tata Nexon EV. Under this program, customers can subscribe to the ownership of a Tata Nexon EV at a monthly payment, which allows them to use the car without actually buying it. Subscribers can have a Tata Nexon EV for themselves for a period of 12, 24 or 36 months. Four months after the program is introduced, Tata has decided to lower the monthly subscription fee for the Nexon EV by up to Rs 12,500.

In addition, Tata Motors has also extended the kilometre limit for its subscribers. Under the old plan, the car users were entitled to a driving cap of 1,500 km a month. Beyond that maximum driving range, customers would be charged Rs 7 per kilometre. According to the revised scheme, the driving cap is extended to 2,000 kms and 2,500 kms. Moreover, Tata Motors has also stopped offering the 18-month subscription plan, which means that there are only three options now, 12, 24 and 36-month plans.

The subscription plan continues to be available for the XZ+ variant only. Moreover, in the beginning, customers will have to pay a security deposit which will be refunded at the end of the tenure. As a part of the subscription contract, Orix, as the main partner of Tata on this program, will install a complementary EV charger at customers’ home with wirings of up to 15 meters. Moreover, all maintenance and services cost will be taken care of by the leasing company.
