With the slight features updates inside out based on the customers' feedbacks, the Tata Nexon is positioned higher at the price of Rs 6.58- 11 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
With a number of new modern entrants launched this year, the Tata Nexon has to face up to the growing competition in the compact SUV segment. While the Ford Ecosport has come armed in the fight with an array of changes, now it’s Tata’s turn to give the Nexon some makeovers to keep pace with its adversaries. For now, the Tata Nexon gets some new design changes and features updates on some selected variants that would cause a slight increase in its price points. That said, the current prices of the Tata Nexon now span from Rs 6.58- 11 Lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Tata Nexon's base XE variant remains unchanged while other grades get a host of styling and functional features updates.
According to a leaked document from Team-BHP, all variants of the Tata Nexon- barring the base XE- received the updates. The lower XM, XMA variants pack some stylistic improvement for the non-touchscreen infotainment system, an extended antenna, new warm grey dash mid-panel, piano-black central console along with glossy black AC control panel. These above fitments are also kitted out in the mid-spec XZ and XT grades but they get a few more and the same goes for the top-spec XZ+ and XZA+ models. Both four trims are updated with new roof rails design as well as the provisions of rear AC vents. The range-topping XZ+ and XZA+ are also equipped with an additional 12-volt rear electric outlet behind the rear seat. Note that this feature is re-introduced in the Nexon since it had been discontinued on the compact SUV at the earlier stage.
The Tata Nexon is now priced at Rs 6.58 Lakh for the base petrol-MT model to Rs 11 Lakh for the top-spec diesel-AT variant.
Nothing has been done on the mechanical front. Still, the Tata Nexon is available with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine making 110 PS of max power and 170 Nm of peak torque, along with a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel motor generating 110 PS and 260 Nm unit. Transmission package includes a 6-speed MT or an AMT for both the mills. Currently, the Tata Nexon fights tooth and nails with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue and Ford Ecosport. Prices of the car soar to the range of Rs 6.58-11 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
