Tata Tiago Limited Edition Launched - DETAILS

Tata has previously launched the Tata Safari for the domestic market. Shortly after the debut of the new SUV, Tata has quickly moved on to the next launch with the limited edition of Tata Tiago. Ahead of the launch date, Tata has shared the new teaser for the upcoming model with a caption saying, “More Convenience, More Style - Stay Tuned for adventures filled with unlimited fun in the New". Based on the XT trim of the Tiago hatchback, the Limited Edition was officially launched at the price of Rs 5.79 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 29,000 pricier than the standard XT version. 

Before the launch of the upcoming Limited Edition, it is expected that is not going to get any mechanical updates apart from the aesthetic changes and feature additions, unlike the NRG or JTP variants that usually gain both cosmetic and mechanical updates. The prediction turns out to be true. Tata Tiago Limited Edition is given a new set of 14-inch alloy wheels, which is not available on the standard XT and XZ trim. However, it is the only exterior update for the Limited Edition.  

On the inside, there are also a few feature updates. The new edition version comes with additional in-built navigation, 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice commands and a rear parcel tray over the standard XT variant. Moreover, the Limited Edition also carries forward the features that are available on the XT trim, for example, dual-front airbags, control-mounted steering, follow-me-home headlights, power window, keyless entry, four-speaker audio system, power foldable and adjustable ORVMs and more.

Under the hood, Tata Tiago Limited Edition continues to be powered a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that makes 85 BHP of maximum power and 113 Nm of top torque. Across the line-up, this engine gets two choices of transmissions, a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic manual transmission. Since the Tata Tiago Limed Edition is based on the XT trim, it is thus provided with 5-speed MT only.

Tata Tiago is now available from Rs 4.85 lakh to Rs 6.84 lakh. The entry-level hatchback is taking on the likes of Hyundai Santro, Datsun GO, Maruti Celerio and Maruti WagonR. In the future, it is expected that Tata will launch Camo and Dark Edition for the Tiago as well.
