Tata Motors has just revised the service interval of the Tata Tiago. Here are the details.

First launched in 2016, Tata Tiago has established itself as the popular entry-level hatchback in India for some time now. Earlier this year, Tata just gave the Tiago a mid-life update, seeing the introduction of a BS6-compliant engine, added featured and a revised look. Recently, the home-grown automaker has revised the service schedule of the Tiago, extending the service interval from six months to one year.

To make it more specific, the Tata has extended the service interval of the Tiago from six months to one year or 15,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. From this, the Tiago’s owners now can get their cars serviced once a year instead of every six months as before. However, it should be noted that the revised service schedule is applicable for the BS6 Tata Tiago only. The owners of the pre-facelifted Tiago still get their vehicles serviced every 6 months.

The Tiago is the first Tata car to be developed on the IMPACT design philosophy. Due to the stringent BSVI rollout, Tata has dropped the diesel variants from the Tiago’s model range. The new Tiago is now available with a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine option that churns out 85 BHP of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. This engine can come mated to either a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT option. Talking about the prices, the current Tata Tiago is on sale with the price bracket of Rs 4.70 – 6.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It rivals the likes of Maruti Wagon R, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and others in the entry-level hatchback segment.
