Elon Musk and Grimes welcomed their first son on May 5. They have, once again, took netizens aback by naming their newborn baby X Æ A-12 Musk and Elon Musk even shared an image of him holding the baby on Twitter.

Tesla CEO disclosed his child’s name in a chat session with the fans on Twitter in which Grimes also further explained the meaning of the baby name. She tweeted,

"X, the unknown variable. Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence). A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favourite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (metal rat),"

Nevertheless, she made some mistakes in the explanation and Elon Musk had to correct them by tweeting that the plane was an SR-71.

Grimes replied,

"I am recovering from surgery and barely alive so may my typos b forgiven,"

The name soon became viral on Twitter. Netizens flooded the Internet with hilarious jokes and memes: jokes about the name pronunciation, memes on X Æ A-12's reactions once he grows up. Trending as the name might be, registering it in Califonia may be faced with several legal issues since non-alphabetical characters are not legally allowed by laws there.
