This All Black MG Hector Looks Rad!

MG Motors India launched the BS6 Hector earlier this month. The Hector came in as the first product from the Chinese-owned British carmaker and has become quite popular among the car buyers. Car buyers and enthusiasts around the country have liked the Harrier fron its butch front-end styling, spacious interior, attractive pricing and a feature-laden cabin. In fact, the large size of the SUV ensures that it has a pretty high street presence. However, various owners across the country have started customizing their vehicles to further enhance the street cred of their vehicles. 

MG Hector is among those few cars that are offered in black colour from the factory. Today, we have a video of a black-coloured MG Hector that looks totally uber cool with an all-black treatment. As youc can see in the video above, the stock grille of the SUV has been fully-blacked out. The rear fascia of the car also employs the same all-black colour treatment. Apart from these cosmetical changes, the owner of the SUV has also upgraded to the new 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Other than the new rims and an all-black treatment, this SUV doesn't get any other form of upgrade.

No doubt, as compared to the stock version of SUV, this MG Hector looks more aggressive and sportier. Mechanically, this MG Hector derives power from a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol mill that produces power and torque outputs of 143bhp and 250 Nm, respectively. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. 

This modified MG Hector is from Kochi and comes with an all-black paint scheme along with a new set of rims. 

The petrol engine is also offered with a 7-speed DCT and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for better fuel-efficiency. Other than this, buyers of the MG Hector can also go for a 2.0-litre FCA-sourced oil-burner that puts out 170bhp of peak power and 350 Nm of twisting force. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed manual transmission. Prices of the MG Hector start at Rs 13.88 lakh*. Compared to the BSIV model, the BSVI version is costlier by up to Rs 45,000.
