This All Black Modified Suzuki Jimny Is Rightly Named 'Black Bison'

The Suzuki Jimny is well-known for its off-roading capabilities. However, the mod-job seen here has revealed some room for improvement. Dubbed ‘Black Bison', this modified Suzuki Jimny has been introduced by Wald International. The customization package makes the SUV have greater off-roading capabilities and enhance its overall design remarkably.

The Maruti Jimny has been turned into a complete off roader with this modification kit.

The modified Suzuki Jimny comes with a two-tone dark-grey-and-black overall paint theme with some contrasting red stripes. Up front, it gets a redesigned bumper with LED DRLs, round projector headlights, a vertical multi-slat grille and a metallic skid plate. When viewed in the side profile, this customized Black Bison features large off-road tyres and extended side fenders to accommodate these massive wheels. Besides, the car also sports a twin bonnet scoop and roof-mounted LED lights.

The Suzuki Jimny is offered in only a few markets. The SUV is also expected to be introduced in the Indian auto market as well, perhaps in 2021. A 5-door version of the Jimny is anticipated to be developed for India with a view to making it as practical as possible. The international-spec Jimny Sierra keeps under its hood a 1.5-litre 4-cyl gasoline burner which can produce 105 PS against 138 Nm. This is also the engine which provides the power for the Maruti Vitara Brezza, XL6, Ciaz, Ertiga and the 2020 S-Cross.

The SUV is also equipped with a unique spare wheel.

The country's largest automaker is likely to rename the Maruti Jimny once it is launched in the Indian auto market. In all probability, the Jimny will be named after the Gypsy, the company's iconic off-roader which was discontinued in India last year after being available for over 30 years. The Jimny is expected to be the ideal substitute for the Gypsy and will compete against the Force Gurkha and the new-gen Mahindra Thar.
