Toyota Glanza To Offer 3 Years/1,00,000 km Standard Warranty

It was in 2018 that two Japanese auto giants Toyota and Suzuki first confirmed their partnerships in products and technologies sharing across the globe. This year, we will have the first fruit of the Toyota-Suzuki joint collaboration in the form of a re-badged Maruti Baleno which will launch as the Toyota Glanza. The brand new Baleno-based hatch will go on sale in India on June 6, 2019.

The exterior of the Toyota Glanza was revealed through a set of spy shots recently, 

The Toyota Glanza will offer a longer warranty period than the Maruti Baleno. Reports suggest that the car will even carry a costlier price sticker compared to the similarly equipped Baleno. However, to establish superiority over the donor hatchback, the Toyota Glanza will come with an excellent 3-year/1,00,000 kilometres warranty which, in fact, has been even available on other India-spec Toyota models. Thanks to this offer, the new Toyota-branded Baleno hatchback will stand at par with the like of Hyundai Elite i20, which offer a similar standard warranty. It will be also hot on the trail of the Honda Jazz. which is available with a 3-year/ unlimited km warranty. The Maruti Baleno, for reference, comes with 2-year/40,000 km standard warranty.

The 2019 Toyota Baleno is projected to go on sale on June 6 with a longer warranty of 3 years/ 1,00,000 km.

Besides, the company is also planning to launch a range of lucrative extended warranty schemes on the Toyota Glanza. The Japanese manufacturer seems highly likely to introduce its five-year True Warranty and seven-year Toyota Timeless Warranty packages on the new model. Other than the rebadged Baleno, the Toyota-Suzuki alliance will even spawn badge-engineered versions of other Maruti models like the Ciaz, Erttiga and Vitara Brezza.
