Toyota Innova Crysta facelift finally goes on sale in the country today at a starting price of Rs. 16.26 lakh. Read here for a detailed price comparison of the facelifted model and the outgoing model.
Toyota Innova Crysta is one of the best-selling MPVs in the Indian market. It is also the highest-selling car of the Japanese carmaker in the country. Being in the market for a couple of years now, the Innova Crysta was due for a mid-cycle update which is finally introduced today. Toyota Innova Crysta facelift is launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh, which is a hike of Rs. 60,000 in comparison to the Rs. 15.66 lakh starting price of the old model. Interestingly, the price hike of Rs. 70,000 remains constant throughout the range except for the base-spec petrol trim which is dearer by Rs 60,000 now. The sad part, however, is that the entry point to the diesel trims of the Innova Crysta has now become expensive as the base-spec G and G+ trims are now discontinued.
In the facelifted avatar, the Innova Crysta boasts of a few changes on the outside and on the inside. It now features revised styling with the use of new trapezoidal radiator grille, resculpted front bumper, and new diamond-cut alloy wheels. On the inside, the changes include a new Camel Tan colour scheme for the interior (restricted to ZX trim only) and all-new Smart Playcast infotainment unit with a 9-inch touchscreen display. With the 2.7L naturally-aspirated petrol motor, the Innova Crysta will be offered in a total of 3 trim options – GX, VX, and ZX. However, one can choose to opt between 7-seater or 8-seater configurations. The petrol motor is capable of putting out a peak power output of 164 Bhp and 245 Nm of max output.

The diesel-powered version, on the other hand, will be offered in a total of 3 trims only, as opposed to 5 trims on the outgoing model. The consumers will be offered with the option of 7-seater and 8-seater layouts as is the case with the petrol variants. The prices for the diesel trims of the Innova Crysta facelift start at Rs. 18.17 lakh for the GX variant, which is Rs. 70,000 higher than the GX trim of the outgoing model. However, if compared with the entry-level trim of the pre-facelift model, the difference comes up to Rs. 1.73 lakh. Talking of the power & torque figures, the 2.4L oil burner continues to produce 148 Bhp against 360 Nm. Transmission options on the facelifted Toyota Innova Crysta include a 5-speed MT and 6-speed AT.
