The Toyota Innova Crysta has finally received a facelift. While dealer dispatches in Indonesia have commenced, it is likely to make it to India pretty soon
It’s understandable, the ultra-popular Toyota Innova Crysta has been on duty since 2016 so it’s high time for Toyota to give its popular MPV a much-needed facelift to stretch the car’s lifespan, spy shots of the same has surfaced on the social media recently.
The leaked image of the Toyota Innova facelift is from Indonesia. The image shows the facelifted Toyota Innova on the ways to the dealerships from the company’s plant, hinting that the production of the Toyota Innova facelift has commenced in this country. It’s worth noting that it’ll be only the matters of time before the car reach to other Asian markets including India. We expect that the protection of the 2021 Innova to start in India in early next years.
The 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta has been spotted in an opening area, showing us what it is bringing in to offer. The facelifted Innova sports a reworked front fascia with a new grille housing five horizontal slats and chrome surrounds. Unlike the previous car, the Toyota badge is placed in an upright manner. The bumper looks sportier with vertical black fog lamps housings along with sharper-looking turn indicators. The Japanese automaker has given the new Toyota Innova Crysta a set of new machine-cut alloy wheels. Apart from these, things remain unchanged for the rear end with wraparound LED taillights and dripped-down turn indicators. It is highly likely that the India-spec Toyota Innova facelift will receive similar update treatment to the Indonesian version.
As far as performance is concerned, the updated Innova Crysta might offer a 2.4-litre four-cylinder diesel engine and a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder petrol motor under the bonnet. The estimated prices of the Toyota Innova facelift stand in-between Rs 15.67 – 24.68 lakh (ex-showroom), thus commanding a slight premium over its indirect rivals in India.
