The Toyota Yaris has been rendered as a mini pickup truck which is named Toyota Yaris Adventure and is an official modification that will be sold without a warranty

What will happen if the back of the Toyota Yaris sedan is chopped off to become a subcompact truck? It will become the Toyota Yaris Adventure which comes with a more rugged front with tow hooks and Nissan Xterra-esque roof rack.

There will be no alterations to the engine options with the same 103 HP 1.5-litre 4-cyl motor carried over from its sedan version. The Yaris Adventure will not come with Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD; instead, it will get a new AWD system which enables the owners to bring the car from the underground garage in snowy weather.

The mini pickup truck has a 193 mm ground clearance which can help the vehicle easily park in a mall parking area and clear the grass when parking in a yard. With a 4,247 mm length, the Yaris Adventure can fit into parking spaces that most other trucks cannot. In terms of the design, the Yaris Adventure has a unique appearance, thanks to its bold passenger-first styling. The front features a hexagon grille, sharp LED headlights with DRLS, which makes a perfect combination with the aggressive-looking front bumper and the tow hooks. As regards the interior, the 7-inch display comes with an integrated audio system that offers high-quality and powerful sound emitted from two speakers, each of which is mounted on every door. The system supports Bluetooth wireless and USB media port connectivity.

Toyota has done thorough testing on the small pickup truck and has decided not to offer any warranty for this vehicle. The reason is that the Japanese auto manufacturer can ensure that there will be no problems with the model once it is operated on roads. All of the above is not real; actually, it was a joke from the Japanese automaker on April Fool’s Day last year. Nevertheless, if the demand arises, why not?
