Toyota Yaris Limited Edition Black To Launch Soon, Bookings Open

Toyota will soon introduce the Yaris Black in the Indian market. The all-black limited-edition will feature subtle cosmetic tweaks in comparison to the outgoing model.

Toyota will soon launch an all-black limited edition of the Yaris in the Indian market. The automaker has revealed some pictures and details of the car on their official website. However, more details of the car will soon be revealed by Toyota in the coming days. The pictures reveal that the upcoming Toyota Yaris Black Edition will be finished in black colour. There are a few chrome inserts on the door handles and the front grille, which enhances the overall premium quotient of the car. It’ll also get door edge lighting along with chrome garnish on headlamps and taillights. The new limited edition model will be offered with all variants of the sedan- J, G, V and VX. Moreover, it’ll also employ a new design for the 15-inch alloy wheels.

The C2-sedan will come loaded with safety features like 7 SRS airbags (dual front, side, curtain, and knee airbags), all-4 disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability control, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill-hold assist, reverse parking camera, automatic headlamps, and front and reverse parking sensors. The Toyota sedan also employs roof-mounted AC vents with ambient lighting. Other features include a touchscreen infotainment unit with latest connectivity options and gesture control, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, multi-functional steering wheel, paddle shifters, 60:40 rear split seats, rear seat armrest with cup holders, push start/stop button, rain-sensing wipers, and cruise control.

Mechanically, it derives power from a 1.5-litre four-pot gasoline motor, which puts out 107bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 140 Nm of twisting force at 4,200 rpm. The engine can be had paired to either a 6-speed MT or a 7-step CVT. The manual variant is rated to return 17.1 kmpl of mileage, while the automatic trim returns an ARAI certified mileage of 17.8 kmpl. It rubs shoulders with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, and VW Vento. Toyota Yaris is offered at a starting price of Rs 8.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes all the way up to Rs 14.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
