Here are a few leaked patent images of Renault Kiger, which shows how the upcoming Renault SUV could look like.

Recently, Nissan launched its first-ever sub-4-meter SUV in our market named as Magnite. Renault has plans to introduce its own version of Magnite named as Kiger by next year. Here are the detailed images of upcoming Renault Kiger, which will soon hit the Indian shores.

As one can see in the images that the design language of the SUV, looks similar to that of the Renault vehicles offered in the Indian market. The front fascia of the car gets a sleek looking grille with LED DRLs integrated to both the ends of the grille. Like Renault Kwid, the headlamp cluster is position on the lower part of the bumper. The side profile of upcoming Renault Kiger gets muscular wheel arches and door cladding, which gives a robust look to the SUV. The rear-end of the car gets LED taillights, contrasting neon green highlights on the bumper and the tailpipe, which is placed in the middle of the bumper. Nevertheless, the automaker will tweak the styling of the production-spec model. The Renault SUV will be based on the company’s CMF-A+ platform. This platform is developed and designed for low-cost cars as the vehicles based on CMF-B platform are pretty expensive for Indian markets.

Once launched, the Renault SUV will rival with the likes of Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, and Ford EcoSport. Mechanically, it’ll derive power from a 1.0-litre NA and turbo petrol engine, which will come coupled to a 5-speed MT or a CVT. The same engine and gearbox combinations are offered with the all-new Nissan Magnite. In the Indian Market, the 2020 Nissan SUV has become one of the highest demanding SUVs in its segment. In some cities, the demand for Nissan Magnite is more than nine months. It is offered in four different trim levels namely- XE, XL, XV and XV(Premium). It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
