Upcoming Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift Images Leaked, India Launch Likely By Next Year

Here are the leaked images of the upcoming 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift. It is expected to hit the Indian shores by early next year. 

The current-gen Toyota Innova Crysta was first introduced in the Indian market back in 2016. The ongoing model of the MPV is already 4 years old and is all set to get its first mid-life update. The Japanese automaker has recently launched the Fortuner facelift in select South Asian markets. However, the upcoming Toyota Fortuner facelift has been recently spied while getting tested in India. Now, the carmaker will soon launch the new 2021 Toyota Innova facelift. The facelift model of the MPV will feature an all-new front fascia, which comprises of new LED headlamps, bumper and grille. The car is also expected to employ new taillights and alloy wheels.

Ahead of its debut, the upcoming Toyota Innova facelift has been leaked online through a 3D model. Inside, the upcoming Toyota MPV will get a larger touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The car is also expected to employ added features like wireless charging, 360-degree camera and electrically-adjustable front seats. The powertrain options for the upcoming 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift are expected to remain unchanged. In India, the MPV is offered with two different engine options- a 2.4-litre diesel and a 2.7-litre petrol engine. The former develops power and torque outputs of 148 bhp and 343 Nm, while the latter produces 164 bhp of peak power and 245 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The new model of the MPV is expected to hit the Thai-market by the end of this year. In India, one can expect the MPV to launch by the first half of next year. Toyota has recently introduced its all-new sub-4-meter SUV - Urban Cruiser in India. It rivals with likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV300. Toyota Urban Cruiser is basically the rebadged version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza.
