A speculative rendering of the JTP version of the Tata Altroz has come up online. It previews a sporty model that features several bold styling elements

The performance-spec Tata Tiago and Tigo JTP, which were launched late last year, ensure that we no longer need to delve deep into our pockets to have a proper sports tuned car. In another development, Tata has decided to standardize the ALFA platform for all its small cars, including the upcoming Tata Altroz, which could, in fact, get a JTP-prepared performance variant that has been speculated in a digital rendering.

Showcased in the pre-production format at 2018 International Geneva Motor Show, the Tata Altroz set off the ground as the first model based on the ALFA architecture which largely covers the volume segment. While the standard Tata Altroz is gauging the public interest, various reports emerged online recently suggested that the hatch will follow the footstep of the Tiago and Tigor to have a JTP variant. That said, the high performance-spec version will pull the trigger from the base model as well as add some chic to its body kits. A digital artist from Indian Autos Blog has released a rendered version of the new Tata Altroz JTP divulging out some presumed interior and exterior design.

Apparently, the rendering comes to give out a brief idea of how the variant could look like with a massively tweaked exterior including bigger and sportier alloy wheels, red-accentuated wing mirrors, aggressive body kit, lip spoiler along with a JTP badge sitting above the grille. Additionally, in the visualized Altroz JTP version, the smoked-out projector headlamps and LED tail lights, expanded air intake, black roof, pillars and air vents have been taken out from the Tiago and Tigor JTP siblings. The interior, on the other hand, is illustrated to get aluminium pedals, contrasting black-red highlights, revamped centre console and dashboard, etc.

In all likelihood, the performance-spec Altroz might embody a 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine sending out 110 PS of power via a manual transmission for the sake of cost-effectiveness. At the point of launch if any, the Tata Altroz JTP will definitely make a strong case, like the Maruti Baleno RS or the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and TDI guises in India.
