The soon-to-be-launched Honda Civic which is all set to come on March 8, 2019, was spotted with no camouflage on the Bangalore airport road yesterday. Clearer details are revealed.

The best-selling Honda sedan in the global markets, with its presence in over 170 countries, Honda Civic is in the pipeline to make a comeback to our country by the Q2 of 2019. First debuted in India in 2015, the new-gen Civic which has been introduced in the US market recently will reach the Indian’s shores this March 8, 2019. Ahead of its launch, the latest-gen Honda Civic was spotted clearly on the road near Bangalore Airport, showing some exterior and interior highlights.

In the spy shots, the 2019 Honda Civic comes with a white body paint, LED headlamps, taillights and front fog lamps with LED DRLs, refreshed 17-inch alloy wheel and redesigned front bumper on the exterior. Interior-wise, the upcoming sedan is slated to be equipped with a more innovative feature-rich cabin than its predecessors. The car will more likely to come with a new 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, 8-way electric driver’s seat, 4-way power front passenger seat along with dual-zone automatic climate control and 8-speakers audio system.

Speaking about the sense of safety, Honda will be more likely to bring additional improvement to the safety kits. A plethora of features like six airbags, power parking assists, collision mitigation braking system, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, auto high-beam, vehicle stability assist, adaptive cruise control and many more.

Under the bonnet, the imminent India-spec Civic will get the energy from a 1.8-litre i-VTEC naturally-aspirated gasoline burner tuned for 141 PS of power and 174 Nm of torque together with a 1.6-litre i-DTEC turbo diesel motor good for 120 PS per 300 Nm units. The petrol variant might come with upper-cost CVT unit in some key markets; however, Indian gearheads can opt to a lower-budget 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel variant meanwhile comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The estimated price of the 2019 Honda Civic, as per some reports, is positioned at around Rs 18 Lakh to Rs 22 Lakh in the country. The situation might not change much as when the sedan quit the Indian auto space that it will join in the fierce competition with the Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia.
