Volkswagen will launch the Black & White special edition for the Ameo, Polo and Vento. Fortunately, the special offer comes with no extra cost.
Among the range of the Volkswagen, Ameo, Polo and Vento are the three key products that contribute to the majority of sales for the German firm in India. Recently, Volkswagen has launched the special edition of these three models called “Black and White.” The best part is that these special models’ price tags will not be higher from the regular models.
In most parts, the special editions will remain the same, but there are some new exterior updates. At no extra cost, the customers are offered with not only the new exterior colour scheme but also newly-added features including a new sporty rear spoiler, new 16-inch Portago alloy wheels, new body graphics and black and white leather seats. The black finish is inserted on the roof and the ORVMs. To distinguish itself from the regular version, the special models of Ameo, Polo and Vento will get a “Black & White” badge on the fender.
Volkswagen Vento, Polo and Ameo will be available with Black & White special Edition without changes in price
The Black & White edition will not be offered across the range; instead, only it will be only available for selected variants. The exact variants that come with this special offer are not announced yet.
Under the hood, the Black and White keeps the same setting from the regular version. Polo will continue to host the 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces the maximum power of 76 PS and the peak torque of 95 Nm. Paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, this powertrain could return the mileage of 18.78 kmpl in ARAI standard. On the other hand, the diesel variants receive power from the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine that could put out 90 PS and 230 Nm. The Polo GT that comes with a 110 PS diesel engine will not be included on the Black & White range.
Accordingly, Volkswagen Ameo will remain the old 1.0-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre engine that it shares with the Polo. Hence, the power outputs of Ameo’s engine are similar to Polo’s range, 75 PS and peak torque of 95 Nm for petrol and 110 PS and 250 Nm for the diesel motor. 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox will be offered on the Ameo.
For the Vento sedan, there are three engine options on offer, including 1.6-litre petrol (105 PS/153 Nm), 1.5-litre diesel (110 PS/250 Nm), and 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol (105 PS/175 Nm). The diesel trims will be offered with dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission.
