Recently, the first new ‘Pop-up’ and Cities showrooms of Volkswagen have been inaugurated in India as part of its ‘Fit for the Future’ initiative.
Volkswagen India has introduced its ‘Fit for the future’ initiative in India to improve its touch points in the country. Under the plan, 30 new ‘Pop-up’ and ‘City’ showrooms will be established across the key cities in India in the coming time.
Targeted at the fast emerging markets and cities in India, the ‘Pop-up’ showrooms will offer the same premium experience as that of the company’s showrooms in major cities. The first ‘Pop-up’ showroom of Volkswagen is located at Tumkur, Karnataka.
The 'Pop-Up' showroom is targeted at the emerging markets in India.
On the other hand, being a derivative of the ‘Pop-up’ showrooms but targeted at larger cities with the young customers, the ‘City’ showrooms will follow environmentally-friendly and paperless procedures. Particularly, all the customers’ questions will be smoothly addressed using digital technologies. The first ‘City' store of Volkswagen has been established in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
In the meanwhile, the 'City' showroom will provide a premium experience to the young and energetic customers in urban areas.
That said, these new showrooms will not offer aftersales services. Therefore, even if the vehicles are purchased from these car stores, aftersales services will still be conducted at the nearest workshops of the traditional fully-equipped dealerships in India. Both the ‘Pop-up’ and City showrooms are now in full operation and are ready to offer the customers a premium experience. Currently, Volkswagen has a total number of 119 showrooms and 113 workshops in 100 cities in the country. As regards Volkswagen portfolio in India, the company is currently having the Tiguan, the Passat, the Vento, the Ameo and the Polo.
