Volkswagen Passat Connect Launched at Rs 25.99 lakh

Volkswagen, the German automaker, has recently announced to equip for their premium sedan which is the Volkswagen Passat Connect a new assistance system – Volkswagen Connect. 

Volkswagen Connect has recently been added in Volkswagen production profile

This is considered the advanced telematics as well as the vehicle assistance system. The Volkswagen Connect app can allow their users to connect the car with the smartphone via a ‘Plug and Play’ data equipped on the OBD, the onboard diagnostics port of the car.

Being active as soon as connecting with the smartphone via Bluetooth, this application enables the customers to have a good experience in terms of features such as 

• Fuel cost monitor 

• Driving behaviour

• Location sharing

• SOS calls

• Service appointments

The Connect application is available in both iOS and Android platforms.

Commenting about this update, Steffen Knapp, the Volkswagen Passenger Cars Director, has reported to the media, 

"The Volkswagen Passat is made for perfectionists filled with path-breaking technologies to make life easier. With the all-new Passat Connect, Volkswagen aims to further transform and enhance the customer driving experience." 

The Passat will be packed with features as 

• Nine airbags 

• Hill-start assist

• Auto-hold 

• Dynamic chassis control

• Reverse camera with a 360-degree view

• Park sensors

• Nappa leather seats

• Three-zone climate control

• Electric adjustable front seats with heating and massage functions

• LED headlamps with DRLs

• LED tail-lamps 

• Hands-free boot opening mechanism

The Volkswagen Passat Connect has positioned at Rs 25.99 lakh for the base trim which is the Comfortline variant. Meanwhile, the top-spec Highline trim costs Rs 28.99 lakh. The Passat rivals the Skoda Superb, which recently got a new mid-spec Sportline trim, and the Toyota Camry Hybrid in our market.
