Volkswagen Tiguan Available with a discount of Rs. 3 lakh

Being a flagship of Volkswagen in the country, the Tiguan was launched in 2017 with 2 variants which were Comfortline and Highline. Since the SUV segment has grown fast as ever, the Tiguan is facing strong competition with its established rivals. It can be explained by the fact that the SUV comes only with 5-seater while a large number of customers prefer 7-seater models regardless that the car model is priced aggressively. The entry-level Comfortline variant is priced at Rs. 28.05 lakh while Highline trim is available at Rs. 31.44 lakh.

In terms of the sales figure, Volkswagen only rolled out 63 Tiguan units in February 2019. This is rather humble as compared to 110 units in the similar period of time in 2018. Accordingly, the sales have dropped by 43 percent. Notably, in the month of January 2019, Volkswagen sold only 3 Tiguan units.

In a bid to boost its sale, some Delhi-NCR dealerships have currently given a massive discount for the Tiguan. The current year stock of Tiguan now is coming with a decent discount up to Rs. 3 lakh.  

Concerning further information of the Tiguan, it is assembled in Pune at Volkswagen Chakan plant for the sake of keeping the cost down. From the general look, the Tiguan offers a design concept of a soft-roader SUV with LED headlamps, black finished grille with the logo in the middle.

The rear profile has witnessed LED tail lamps as well as a new bumper equipped with the integrated reflector. The interior sports the all-black colour scheme with excellent material quality. 

As for the engine, the SUV receives the power via the 2.0-litre diesel engine which can churn out 143 PS of power at 4,000 rpm. As for the torque figure, 340 Nm of torque can be generated in a range of 1,750 – 2,750 rpm. It is paired with 7-speed DSG gearbox with the ARAI figure up to 17.06 km/l.
