VW T-Roc Black Edition Goes On Sale in UK, Looks UBER COOL

Volkswagen introduced the T-Roc in India a couple of months ago, but the compact crossover has already been on sale in Europe since 2018. In UK, the compact SUV has just received a special variant to help it come back into the limelight. Dubbed VW T-Roc Black Edition, the new model is based on the SE trim and features several black-painted bits and asome additional features over the donor model. 

Developed on the mid-spec SE trim, the VW T-Roc Black Edition receives black garnishing on the grille, ORVMs, roof rails, body claddings and exhaust tips. Other than that, the T-Roc also comes with a blacked-out rear rear quarter glasses to enhance the privacy of the second-row passengers. There’s even a decal on the C-pillar as well while the “Arlo black” treatment is also made to the car’s 18-inch alloy wheels.

Moving to the cabin, black is still the main colour theme for the SUV's interior. The T-Roc continues to have piano black finish on the dashboard, black roof, leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel with contrast grey stitching and leather-wrapped gear knob. It has the illuminated footwell along with the white ambient lighting for a better visual effect.

The standard equipment for the T-Roc Black Edition includes adaptive cruise control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration and more. In terms of safety, the Black Edition doesn’t pick any new features but it should be noted that the T-Roc itself has been a five-star SUV rated by Euro NCAP and hence, it has always offered a safe drive. Besides the standard features, customers can choose to give the car some extra fitments like Vienna leather upholstery, sports suspension package, and a Beats audio system.

The VW T-Roc Black Edition can be bought with any of the following engine options: 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, 1.6-litre turbo-diesel and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. The VW T-Roc Black Edition is on sale at a starting price of £23,750 (about Rs 21.9 Lakh) in UK. We do wish for a similar Black Edition trim to be introduced in the Indian market as well.
