VW T-Roc (Jeep Compass-rival) Specifications And Features Leaked

Volkswagen is all set to launch its premium B-SUV 'T-Roc' in India on March 18, 2020. However, in an internal presentation, the specifications and feature list of the car has been leaked.

VW has lined up a range of SUVs for the Indian audience. With the Tiguan AllSpace hitting the market recently, the next model on the list is the T-Roc small SUV. It was showcased at the Auto Expo in its range-topping R-Line trim and was also spotted on test in its base-spec trim, recently. Although, the car is now all set to be launched in the country on March 18, 2020, its colour options, features and specifications of car have been leaked in an internal presentation of the upcoming car.

VW T-Roc Launch Date, Colours, Specifications, And Features Leaked

The T-Roc will do a 0-100 run in just 8.4 seconds and will max out at 205 kmph.

The premium B-SUV will be offered in a total of 6 colour schemes – Deep Black Pearl, Indium Grey + Black Roof, Curcuma Yellow + Black Roof, Pure White + Black Roof, Energetic Orange + Black Roof, and Ravenna Blue + Black Roof. The feature list of the car will include LED headlamps with DRLs, Vienna leather seats, panoramic sunroof, digital cockpit, LED tail lamps, 6 airbags, hill start assist, anti-slip regulation, engine drag-torque control, electronic differential lock, and electronic stabilization programme. The details of the infotainment system are not revealed as of yet, but we expect the car to come with a glass-enclosed 8.0-inch touchscreen unit.

Talking of the technical specifications, the T-Roc will be powered by an EA211 1.5L TSI-Evo turbo-petrol engine. It will belt out a peak power output of 150PS and a max. torque of 250 Nm and will come mated to a 7-speed DSG to clock a 0-100 kmph run in just 8.4 seconds. The T-Roc will also boast a top speed of 205 kmph. The dimensions of the T-Roc will measure at 4.2 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width, and 1.6 meters in height. The wheelbase will measure at 2.6 meters to offer enough legroom and knee room inside the cabin. The boot volume, however, is acceptable at 445 litres with all seats in place and can be increased to 1,290 litres when second-row is folded flat.

VW Tiguan AllSpace becomes the first of the range of new SUVs the German carmaker has lined up for a launch in our local market.

VW will sell the T-Roc as a CBU import from its Portugal based manufacturing unit, while the local-production of the car is expected to commence by next year. The T-Roc is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs. 20.00 lakh to compete against the top-end variants of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
