Hyundai Creta in its new-gen rendition was launched last year, and it managed to help the carmaker grab the top spot in the SUV segment. With increased demand, the new-gen Hyundai Creta now boasts of a long waiting period which ranges from 3 months to 10 months, depending upon the variant you choose. Availability of multiple engine-gearbox combinations and trim options are the prime reasons for the high demand of the Hyundai Creta. The cheapest of the lot is the base-spec E trim, and it commands a waiting period of 7 months for both diesel and petrol trims.

Moving over to the next trim in the increasing order ‘EX’, it has a waiting period of 4-5 months.  Talking of the trim with the lowest waiting period, it is the mid-spec S trim. It has a waiting period of around 3 to 4 months only. The Turbo variants, on the other hand, have a waiting period of 5 to 6 months. While remaining configurations have an average waiting period of around 5-7 months, the top-spec SXO trim with the petrol-CVT configuration has the longest waiting period of 10 months.

The new-gen Hyundai Creta comes loaded to the gills. It gets a lot of best-in-class and first-in-class features. The feature list comprises of a full-size panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 7-speaker Bose sound system, cruise control, automatic climate control, ventilated front seat, wireless phone charger, air purifier with AQI display, 7-inch display for instrument console and more.

The Creta is on sale with three engine options. The most affordable of the lot is the 1.5L NA petrol that puts out 115 PS and 144 Nm. It can be had mated to either a 6-speed MT or a CVT. Next on the list is a 1.5L turbocharged diesel that develops 115 PS of peak power and 250 Nm of max torque. The transmission options for this engine include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. The last and the most powerful of the lot is the 1.4L turbo-petrol motor. With a peak power output of 140 PS and max torque of 242 Nm, it comes paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic only.
