15 Kia Sonet have been delivered together in a day via a Kia dealership in the country. Take a look at the video here.

Kia Sonet is coming up as another successful product from the South-Korean brand. First, it broke the record for highest-bookings for a Kia car on the first day itself. Now, the brand has delivered 15 Kia Sonet SUVs at once from a dealership in the country. This batch of Sonet comprises of different trims, like HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and GTX+. Similarly, Kia delivered ten units of Carnival MPV simultaneously, earlier this year. While the Sonet has been launched recently in the Indian market, the audience has welcomed it with a warm response. Although there are many reasons behind its successful debut, like the way it looks, a slew of engine-gearbox combinations it comes with, and the long list of features it packs in.

According to Kia, Sonet has been designed by taking inspiration from a baby elephant, and it is quite noticeable in its design. The Sonet has the right amount of heft and bulk with compact dimensions. Like other Kia cars, it gets a tiger-nose radiator grille. However, it also uses some distinctive design elements like backwards-inclined C-pillar and connected tail lamps.

Talking of the features, Sonet gets a lot of segment-first features. It comes equipped with ventilated front seats, Bose sound system, 10.25-inch touchscreen for infotainment unit, wireless phone connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and air purifier. It also gets UVO Connect with over 57 connected car features.

Kia Sonet is offered with three engine options – 1.2L Kappa petrol, 1.5L turbo-diesel, and 1.0L turbo-petrol. The 1.2L 4-cylinder NA petrol motor puts out a rated power and torque output of 83 PS and 113 Nm, respectively. It comes mated a 5-speed MT only. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is offered in two states of tunes – 100 PS/240 NM and 115 PS/250 Nm. The former comes with a 6-speed MT, while the latter can only be had with a 6-speed AT. The smallest motor of the lot – 1.0L turbo-petrol unit, it pushes out 120 PS of peak power against 172 Nm of max torque. The gearbox options for this motor include a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT.
