The 7-seater Hyundai Creta will launch in 2021 and will come with a reworked styling package along with the same engine options as the regular, 5-seater version

It’s been hardly a few days since the launch of the second generation Hyundai Creta in India and what we have here today are the first-ever spy pictures of the 7-seater version of the popular SUV. It has almost always been known that the Creta would spawn a longer, 7-seater version but the spy multimedia pretty much reassures us that the company’s plan of coming up with a bigger Creta is pretty much on the track.

The 7-seater version of the second-gen Hyundai Creta will feature a distinctive side profile to help onlookers easily distinguish between the two iterations of the popular SUV.

The 7-seater Hyundai Creta will carry a handful of styling updates that will help one distinguish the new model from its regular, 5-seater sibling. As is pretty obvious, the most significant updates will be found in the side profile as the new SUV would feature a longer rear overhang to accommodate the third row of seats. In line with this, even the C-pillar will be slimmer to make things less claustrophobic for the rear-most occupants.

Close inspection of the spy images reveals that the XL-size Hyundai Creta will feature a pretty flattish roofline, while the beltline won’t have a huge kink to accommodate a bigger DLO. While the test mule features the same 17-inch silver-finished alloy wheels as the 5-seater Creta, the new model is sure to carry Diamond-cut units. The front-end will have a new chrome-finished radiator grille. Also, the front bumper will feature parking sensors.

The 7-seater Hyundai Creta will go on sale in 2021 and will be to the regular Creta what the MG Hector Plus is to the Hector and the Gravitas is to the Harrier. Engine options will be shared between the two versions, which means that the new model could go on sale in three motor options - 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo diesel and 1.4-litre turbo petrol.
