Thanks to the successful debut, the new SUV has been receiving considerable excitement as well as the anticipation for the higher version. We all know that Tata Motors sets to bring on both of the five and seven-seat configurations next year but with the intention to come with the five-seat variant first.

As per press release recently, the seven-seater with more space for passengers which is the H7X will be officially introduced at Auto Expo 2020. It is expected to be launched with another name, instead of Harrier, when it hits the market.

Recently, the automaker has teased out a series of videos revealed the interior as well as the exterior design of this new SUV.

As for the design, the two models both share the same cues with Land Rover’s D8 platform which is underpinned like the Discovery Sport. The seven-seat version, without any doubt, will offer a similar design with the smaller-five-seat version, except for the longer dimension. The seven-seat variant will be available in 4,660mm-in-length appearance, compared to the standard Harrier, in a move likely to accommodate the third row of seats. In terms of the wheelbase, the two models will share a similar size which is 2,741mm.

While the five-seat variant houses a BS4 compliant with 140 HP power generating and 2.0-litre engine, termed ‘Kryotec’ by Tata, the seven-seater is said to produce up to 170ph. Additionally, it will be compliant with BS6 emission norms.

There are two transmission options on offer including a 6-speed manual and Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic.
