Skoda Rapid Onyx Edition Launched at the Price of Rs 9.75 Lakhs

In terms of the exterior, Skoda India has equipped the Rapid Onyx Edition with a list of the features such as “Clubber” alloy wheels measuring 16 inches, black grille in the front, black wing mirrors, moulding on boot and side, Moreover, some other features include LED DRLs and projector headlamps with white bulbs. The vehicle is available with two colour options, Candy White and Lapiz Blue.

The exterior of the Rapid Onyx Edition is packed with a wide range of unique features 

As regards the interior, the overall colour theme is light brown with punctured beige seats and upholstery made from the leather-like artificial material. A touchscreen infotainment system is also present as standard with the Smartlink feature and flat bottom steering wheel with black rows of stitches. The car is also packed with a glass in the rear and signature Onyx-inscribed scuff plates.

The Onyx Edition will leave the customers with no worry because it is equipped with a wide range of safety features:

• Anti-lock Braking System

• Dual airbags in the front

• Five seatbelts with a three-point rating

• Anti-theft alarm

• Parktronic parking sensors at the rear

• View mirror at the rear to hamper glares

• Dynamic stability control (ESC) in automatic diesel version

• Hill-Holder in both automatic diesel and automatic petrol versions.

Despite the dramatic changes in the exterior and the interior, the Rapid Edition remains almost unchanged in terms of mechanicals. It is still powered by 1.5-litre turbodiesel and 1.6-litre MPI engines, like the standard Rapid, producing 109bhp and 250Nm and 104bhp and 153Nm, respectively. Both the manual and automatic transmission are available for two types of engines.

1.5-litre turbodiesel and 1.6-litre MPI engines supply power for the Rapid Onyx Edition
