Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is one of the most sold MPV in India. Since its launch, the MPV has been doing wonders for the company by getting sold in good numbers. Maruti Suzuki has launched the 5th-gen Ertiga in India, last year. Which is built on Maruti Suzuki's Heartect platform and it does come with a new looking exterior and interior. In the past years, Suzuki has also showcased some of the highly modified Ertiga models in the international motor shows, which looks quite engaging. Even, Maruti Suzuki is also planning to launch the top-spec Cross variant of the Ertiga by the second half of 2019. Here are the top 10 features which are expected to be in the upcoming Ertiga crossover.

1) ZXI+ AT (petrol)

The first thing we may expect from the upcoming Ertiga Cross is the employment of a 1.5-litre, petrol engine with SHVS technology. Right now the MPV comes with a 1.5-litre petrol unit, but it lacks Maruti Suzuki's SHVS technology.

2) LED DRLs

Maruti Suzuki has never offered LED DRLs with the Ertiga. Even, the new-gen does not come with LED DRL. The addition of DRL in their upcoming Ertiga will enhance the premium quotient of the car and will also elevate its overall appeal.front angle

3) 6-seater (captain seats in the middle row)

The feature which is highly expected in the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ertiga cross is the availability of captain seats for the middle row passengers. Afterwards, travellers would love to accommodate themselves in the second row, rather than driving the car. Moreover, the six-seat arrangement will enhance the overall feel of the cabin.

4) Cruise control

Cruise control is a convenience feature, which is very much useful while cruising down on a highway. This feature uses a servomechanism, which helps the car to run on constant speed. This is the first time that an Ertiga model is getting upgraded with feature like cruise control.

5) New 1.5-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol unit

Maruti Suzuki has started expanding its portfolio, by making an in-house developed engine for the domestic market which may comply with upcoming stringent emission norms as the company has stopped relying on the Fiat-sourced engines. We may expect Maruti Suzuki to come up with a new in-house developed 1.5-litre petrol and diesel powertrain.

6) Leather Seats

All the Maruti Suzuki Nexa cars get a premium looking cabin which employs leather upholstery. Getting retailed through Nexa dealership means that the Ertiga Cross will ditch the fabric upholstery and will come equipped with leather one.

7) Blacked-out cabin

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes with a dual-tone, black and beige interior, which doesn't look mesmerizing at all. Launching the Ertiga Cross with a blacked-out interior will look sporty and, it will also enhance the overall appeal of the cockpit. The all-black interior looks more premium and upmarket than the dual-tone interior.

8) Precision-cut alloy wheels

As compared to the alloy-wheels offered with Martui Suzuki Ertiga right now, the precision-cut alloy wheels will look more sporty and premium. Moreover, they will look quite different from what the regular Maruti Suzuki cars have.

9) LED projector headlamps

We may expect that the upcoming Ertiga Cross will employ projector headlamps. It is another top of the line feature which helps in increasing the visibility while driving in low light conditions.

10) Sporty bumpers with door cladding

Maruti Suzuki will also introduce the Ertiga cross with a new body kit, which will give a sporty and robust look to the MPV.  The new body-kit will include parts like Body cladding, side skirts and faux diffusers.
