Here are the top 10 features that you will find on the all-new Honda City but not on Maruti Ciaz. The 5th generation of the popular C2-segment sedan will hit the Indian shores next month.

Honda is finally close to launching the new-gen City in our market. The upcoming model is based on a new platform and is bigger in dimensions compared to the outgoing version of the C2-segment sedan. Bookings of the car have already been initiated across the country. Moreover, the premium sedan is expected to hit the Indian shores in the first-half of next month. Mechanically, the fifth-gen Honda City will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The former puts out 120bhp and 145 Nm of torque, while the latter develops power and torque outputs of 100 PS and 200 Nm, respectively. Once launched, it’ll compete with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, VW Vento and Skoda Rapid. Here are the top 10 features which one can find on the all-new Honda City, but not on the Maruti Ciaz.

Automatic LED Projector headlamps

The top-spec trim of the all-new City will get LED projector headlamps. The top-of-the-line-variant of the new sedan will also be offered with automatic day/night headlamps. This is a useful feature for those who usually forget to switch on/off their headlights.

Electric Sunroof

An electric sunroof makes the cabin airier and also enhances its premium quotient. Like the outgoing model, the new-gen Honda City will also feature an electric sunroof. In India, cars with sunroof are quite popular and attract a lot of young buyers. 

Diesel Engine

Talking about Maruti Ciaz, the sedan is only offered with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol unit. The all-new City, on the other hand, will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The upcoming C2-segment sedan will be propelled by a 1.5-litre oil-burner, coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. 

Hill Start Assist

The 2020 Honda City will also feature Hill Start Assist. This system will automatically assist the driver gain momentum from a standstill on an uphill.

Ventilated Seats

Currently, the Hyundai Verna is the only car in its segment to offer this feature. However, the all-new Honda City will also get ventilated front seats. This feature is quite useful in a hot country like India. 

Six Airbags

Talking about occupant safety, the top-spec trim of the new Honda City will feature six airbags. It will include two airbags upfront as standard with additional side and curtain airbags avaialble on higher variants.

Vehicle Stability Control

Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) prevents the wheel spin while cornering or turning a car at high speed. The availability of this feature indicates that the new-gen City could feature some sporty characteristics.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System with Deflation Warning

TPMS is a very useful feature as it helps a person to check the pressure of his car’s tyre. The fifth-gen City will be the first car in its segment to sport this feature.

Internet Car Technology

Currently, internet car tech is quite popular and is seen on many new cars like Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. Even the 2020 Honda City will be offered with connected car technology. In fact, the new Honda City will come paired up with an inbuilt Alexa system. 

Lane Watch Camera

The all-new City will also get lane watch camera, which will be a first-in-segment feature. With the help of the lane watch camera, one can see if there’s any vehicle on the side using cameras fitted on the side mirrors.
