2020 Kia Sonet Base Model Detailed on Video

Here’s a walkaround video of the base model of Kia Sonet. It derives power from three different engine options. 

The Korean automaker Kia has recently introduced its all-new sub-4-meter SUV in our market named as Sonet. It is the third product from the carmaker in India. It rubs shoulders with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. The SUV is getting an amazing response from the potential buyers as the all-new Kia Sonet has already received 50,000 bookings in just a very short span of time. The Kia SUV is offered with a long list of features and a variety of engine and gearbox options, but many people are still curious to know about the features offered with the entry-level model of the SUV. Here’s a recent video, which shows the features offered with the base HTE model of Sonet.

This video is uploaded by a YouTube channel named as Area of Interest. The video shows the exterior and interior of the SUV. The entry-level HTE trim of the car employs the company’s signature Tiger Nose grille, but it does not feature gloss finish or chrome garnishes like tops-spec variants. The base model gets silver-coloured garnished at the grille up front. Illumination duties are done by conventional halogen headlamps and turn blinkers. The base model of the Kia Sonet does not get fog lamps. The side profile of the SUV employs 15–inch steel wheels with wheel covers. The turn indicators are mounted on the side fenders instead of wing mirrors. The door handles, and window line does not employ chrome garnish. Moreover, it does not get silver-coloured roof rails.

The rear profile of the SUV gets regular split LED headlamps connected via a reflector strip and a faux skid plate. Inside, the SUV employs an all-black cabin with manual AC control and steering mounted controls to controls the instrument cluster. It gets the same instrument cluster as seen in the top-spec variants. It does not get a touchscreen infotainment system, but there is a provision of getting an aftermarket unit. It features powered front windows and manual rear windows. Even the base model employs the feature to adjust side mirrors.
