2020 Mahindra Thar Accessorized Versions Named Chrome Hero & Dark Lord

Here’s the accessorized versions of the new-gen 2020 Mahindra Thar. These accessories are officially offered by the carmaker. 

Mahindra recently launched the new-gen Thar in our market. The all-new model of the car will soon become the top-selling off-roader in India. The carmaker has already initiated deliveries of the SUV. The first-ever Mahindra Thar was recently delivered to Mr Aakash Minda, who got the SUV via an online bid at Rs 1.11 crore. His SUV will be customized by one of the most popular SUV modifiers in India- Bimbra. If you are planning to buy the all-new Mahindra Thar than you don’t have to go out to the customizers for modifications as Mahindra is officially offering accessorized versions Thar. The carmaker is offering two official accessorized versions of the SUV namely- Chrome Hero and Dark Lord.


First-ever 2020 Mahindra Thar (Price – Rs 1.11 Cr) to be Modified by Bimbra


The Chrome Hero version carries a few chrome inserts around the body of the car to make the SUV look premium, while the Dark Lord version employs some gloss black inserts. In the Chrome Hero package, the car employs bits like chrome front lamp applique, chrome DRL applique, chrome headlamp applique and bug deflector. On the side, it gets side body cladding and chrome door handles. The rear part of the all-new Mahindra Thar Chrome Hero version get chrome rear reflector applique and chrome taillight applique.

On the other hand, the Dark Lord version employs gloss black headlamp applique, front bumper cladding, front bumper air dam kit, front grille cladding and wheel arch cladding. The side profile of the car features piano black side mirror applique and side and back shoulder applique. The rear fascia of the car gets piano black taillight applique. These are the accessorized versions of Mahindra Thar one can opt for.

Talking about 2020 Mahindra Thar, the SUV derives power from 2.2-litre turbo diesel and 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The former puts out 132bhp of power and 300 Nm of peak torque, while the latter produces power and torque outputs of 152bhp and 300 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
