Here’s a walkaround video of the new 2020 Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo edition. The refreshed Rapid is on sale at a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Earlier this year, the local subsidiary of Czech automaker, Skoda, updated its car lineup in our market as per the stricter emission norms. One of the latest products in the company's portfolio to have received its BSVI update is the Rapid, which rubs shoulders with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, VW Vento and Toyota Yaris. It is also the most affordable car in Skoda’s portfolio and the sedan is now being offered with a potent 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill. Today, let's take a look at a walk-around video of the top-spec Monte Carlo edition of Rapid. The video details the car inside and out. It has been uploaded by a YouTube channel named AutoTrend TV.

It simply shows all the changes made in the Monte Carlo trim as compared to the regular Skoda Rapid. Starting from the front fascia of the car, the sedan looks sportier compared to the regular trims. The chrome and silver accents have been blacked-out to give the sedan a more aggressive look. The headlamp clusters have been smoked-out and they feature projector-type headlights, LED DRLs and side indicators. Up front, the signature butterfly grille is blacked-out and the fog lamps positioned on the lower part of the bumper have also been smoked out. On the side, the alloy wheels are quite different from those on the regular model and the side mirrors, window frame and the roof feature an all-black treatment.

Mechanically, it derives power from a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces power and torque outputs of 110 PS and 175 Nm, respectively. Currently, it is only available with a manual gearbox, but an automatic transmission option is expected to be introduced later this year. The 2020 Skoda Rapid is priced between Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
