Tata launched the Tiago facelift in January this year and it has already reached the second hand car market - Here is a top-of-the-line XZ trim with just 2,000 km on the odo
The Tiago is the smallest offering in Tata’s stable. It has recently received a mid-life refresh along with the updated Revotron engine that is now BS6 compliant. However, the diesel engine option is no longer available. Currently, Tata Motors is offering Tiago with an attractive finance scheme with an EMI of Rs. 4,999 only. But in case you are planning to get one home, exploring the used car market would not be a bad idea. We came across a clean example, which is only a little over a month old and comes loaded with all the features that you would need.
The car in the pictures is the XZ variant of the Tiago, and it is the facelifted version of the car. This variant comes loaded to the gills. It gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit from Harman that comes paired with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters and is Android Auto compatible. Talking of other features, it gets ABS with EBD, high-speed alerts, dual-front airbags, central locking, height-adjustable driver seat, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, power windows, manual controls for AC and heater, rear wiper and defogger, rear parking sensors, day and night IRVM, all-digital instrument cluster, steering mounted audio controls and more. On the outside, it misses out on the alloy wheels in comparison to the top-spec XZ+ variant, but do get all other equipment.
Talking of the powertrain, it gets a 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 86 PS/113 Nm as its peak output. And, it can be had mated to either a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. This particular car, however, gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. The ex-showroom price of the XZ variant is Rs. 5.70 lakh. The on-road price of the car is little over Rs. 7.00 lakh, including the RTO charges, insurance premium, AMC, and other miscellaneous costs. But, the asking price of this car is Rs. 6.80 lakh, and is negotiable to a small extent. Also, the new owner will get to enjoy the convenience of free services and warranty. Therefore, with 2,000 km on odo, this isn’t a bad deal in any manner.
