2020 Toyota Innova Facelift Parked Alongside Current Model

Recently, upcoming 2020 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift has been spied standing alongside the ongoing model. It is expected to launch in the Indian market by next year.

Toyota Innova Crysta is among the most popular cars offered by the Japanese automaker in India. The ongoing model of the MPV was first introduced in our market back in 2016, and now it’s time for the carmaker to introduce the new facelift model of the car. Initially, the updated model of the SUV will retail in the Indonesian market and afterwards, it’ll expand its reach in other Asian markets. The 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta is slated to hit the Indian shores by the first half of next year. After more than four years, Toyota Innova Crysta is finally getting the mid-life update with a few cosmetic and feature updates on outside and inside.

Recently, the upcoming 2021 Innova Crysta has been spied standing alongside the ongoing model. Outside, the new 2021 version of the car gets a revised grille upfront with five horizontal slats as compared to two thick chrome grille offered with the ongoing model. The chrome inserts bordering the front grille of the 2021 model enhances the overall premium quotient of the car. On the side, it gets a new set of machines alloy wheels. The rear fascia of the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta looks quite identical to that of the outgoing model. We expect the upcoming India-spec Toyota Innova Crysta facelift to look quite identical to that of the facelift model of the MPV to be offered in the Indonesian market.

Mechanically, it is expected to be powered by the same 2.4-litre four-pot diesel engine and a 2.7-litre four-cylinder gasoline mill. The former develops 148bhp of power and 343 Nm of peak torque, while the latter produces power and torque outputs of 164bhp and 245Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT or 6-speed automatic gearbox. The ongoing model of the MPV is retailed at a starting price of Rs 15.67 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level petrol trim and goes all the way up to Rs 24.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec diesel variant.
