We have a few digital renderings of the upcoming 2021 Jeep Compass facelift along with its 7-seater iteration that will go on to rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner

It was only recently that Jeep showcased the updated Jeep Compass in the European market. The new Compass SUV only gets some subtle cosmetic changes on the outside and unlike the Jeep Compass spotted in India, the Euro-spec Compass looks quite different at the front. Also, apart from the regular 5-seater model, Jeep will also work on the 7-seater version of the Compass that will make it to the Indian auto market too.

A Brazil-based digital illustrator, Kleber Silva has worked on a few digital renderings of the 2021 Jeep Compass based on the spy pictures and information of the old and new upcoming international-spec model. The artist has mixed the existing Jeep Compass with some design elements from Grand Commander – a bigger mid-size SUV from China.

As per the rendering, the upcoming Compass facelift features a flatter nose with a more prominent seven-slotted grille at the front along with a sportier-looking redesigned front bumper. The headlamps now have lost their curves pattern for a sharper look while the turn indicators are separate from the fog lamp housing. That said, the front face of the Compass now looks a lot busier and more prominent than the outgoing SUV.

The side profile of the Jeep Compass doesn’t get many revisions, based on the renderings. The alloy wheel design remains the same. There’s a “COMPASS” lettering on the front doors of the car, squared-off wheel arches and black plastic cladding as seen on the current Compass SUV. At the back, we also see no changes with the similar taillights, tailgate, bumper and fog lamps design as the outgoing model.

Interestingly, in addition to the regular Jeep Compass, the artist has also visualized the 7-seater version of the SUV which is named “Grand Compass” by the artist himself. Like the earlier car, the three-row Compass SUV render also sports some minor cosmetic changes inspired by the Grand Commander, including the doors, windows and rear quarter glass, etc. However, it comes with a different set of alloy wheels with dual-tone finishes. A new pair of roof rails are even added to the rendered version of the upcoming 7 seater SUV to enhance its SUV-ish look.

The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will make its global debut sometime during the second quarter of next year, followed by the 7-seater version at a later stage. India will also have the new Compass SUV, in both configurations. A few spy images of the same have emerged online earlier this year but the test mule doesn’t carry a major cosmetic revamp compared to its BS6 predecessor. The updated India-spec Jeep Compass is expected to come with the same 2.0-litre Multijet turbocharged diesel and 1.4-litre Multiair turbocharged petrol engine as the current version. Due to the updates, the Jeep Compass facelift will command a slight premium over the existing Compass SUV which is currently on sale at around Rs 16.49 – 24.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
