Tata Tiago is one of the best-selling cars from indigenous carmaker in the country. It rivals the likes of Maruti Celerio, Maruti WagonR, Hyundai Grand i10 and more. Tata Tiago is highly loved by the Indian audience for the way it looks and the safety standards it offers. Tiago boasts of a 4-star Global NCAP crash test rating, which has helped Tiago, prove its mettle in the various accidents that have been reported on the internet to date. Here’s another video that showcases the same. This video was uploaded by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. The video showcases a Tata Tiago that crashed with a metal gate and sustained the impact with minor damages.

This particular Tiago belongs to Mr. Deepanshu Dubey, who hails from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He explains that while he was driving through the city havoc, a buffalo came on the road and to save the buffalo, he steered the car. As a result, he lost control over the car and crashed it into a metal gate. In the video, it can be seen that metal gate was strong enough, but has experienced major damage.

Talking of the Tiago, it suffered a minor dent on the bonnet and on the driver-side quarter panel. However, Mr. Dubey did not suffer any injuries at all. While this accident is not the most critical one we’ve come across, Tiago has sustained damages from the most horrendous of accidents while keeping the occupants safe.

Tiago is offered with a slew of safety features as standard fitment across the range. The list includes ABS with EDB, dual front airbags, high-speed alerts, front seat belt reminders, seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters, rear parking sensors, and corner stability control. Powering the Tiago is a 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine that puts out 86 PS of peak power and 113 Nm of max torque. It comes mated a 5-speed stick shift as standard, while a 5-speed AMT is also available as an option. Tiago starts at a rather affordable price tag of Rs. 4.69 lakh and tops out at Rs. 6.23 lakh.
