Here, we have a list of all the features that are available on the Kia Seltos, but are missing on its cousin, the Hyundai Creta.

Kia Seltos is undoubtedly the most successful product in recent times. The compact SUV quickly gained the bestseller status mere months after its launch, displacing the previous segment leader, the Hyundai Creta. Now, with the new generation Creta available in India, the Hyundai will try to gain its crown back, but the Seltos has a few tricks up its sleeve, which are missing in the 2020 Creta.

Here, we have a list of all the features that are available in the Kia Seltos, which are missing on the new-generation Hyundai Creta.

360-Degree Parking Camera

Only a few compact SUVs in this segment have a 360-degree camera in their equipment list. Kia Seltos is one of those few that do. Sadly, Hyundai Creta does not offer this feature, not even as an option on the top-trim variants.  A 360-degree can help drivers reverse and park in tight spaces.

Manual Option For Turbo-Petrol Manual

Kia Seltos turbo-petrol manual transmission

Both the Seltos and Creta are available with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. That said, only the Seltos offers an additional 6-speed manual transmission option with the turbo-petrol engine. This is the only difference between the two in terms of powertrain. Other engine and gearbox options are identical for both the cars.

Blind-View Monitor

Kia Seltos was the first car in its segment to come equipped with a blind-view monitoring system. The system utilises cameras mounted in the ORVMs to show the driver the traffic in the driver’s blindside. The video feed is shown in the 7-inch multi-information display, in the instrument console, for whichever side the driver has indicated to turn. This is an advanced safety feature, usually not seen in vehicles even a segment above.

Heads-Up Display

Apart from the blind view-monitoring system, there is another first-in-segment feature offered in the Kia Seltos- Heads-Up Display (HUD). Once again, this is an advanced safety feature, usually seen in luxury cars, like the ones from Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. The 8-inch HUD in the Seltos allows the driver to view the speed and navigation instructions without taking his/her eyes off the road. This feature was given a miss in the new Creta.

Mood Interior Lighting

You also get LED mood lighting in the cabin of the Kia Seltos, and that system can synchronise with the car’s audio system, flickering at the beat of the music. This is one of the fanciest features offered by Kia in its SUV, and it surely does wonders to elevate the premium factor of the car.

While the 2020 Hyundai Creta has tilt-adjustable steering, the Kia Seltos goes a bit further, offering tilt as well as reach adjustment for the steering wheel. This allows for better comfort for the driver, gives another win to the Kia against the Hyundai.
