Here, we have a list of all the features that are available on the new-gen Hyundai Creta but are missing on its cousin, the Kia Seltos.

Hyundai Creta used to be the best-selling SUV (longer than 4-metre) in India, but that crown was snatched last year by its cousin, the Kia Seltos. The Seltos managed to surprise everyone with its brilliant features, powerful yet economical engines, and a brilliantly good looks. After the extreme popularity of the Seltos in the Indian market, Hyundai brought in the next-generation Creta to try and reinvigorate the interest of buyers.

To gain an edge over its Kia counterpart, Hyundai Creta offers a few features that aren’t available on the Seltos. Here, we shall eight such features.

Paddle Shifter

2020 Hyundai Creta padle shifters for 1.4-litre turbo petrol

Both the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos offer the same engine and transmission options, except that the Seltos offers an additional manual gearbox option for the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. That said, Hyundai offers paddle shifters with the dual-clutch gearbox, which is not offered in the Seltos. Such F1-style paddle shifters tend to make the driving experience a bit more exciting.

Voice-Operated Panoramic Sunroof

Both the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta are offered with an electric sunroof, only the Creta gets a panoramic unit, covering the front as well as the second row. The one on the Seltos is smaller, covering only the front seats. Also, the Creta allows users to operate the sunroof via voice-commands, but the Seltos does not.

Rear Seat Headrest Cushion

With passenger comfort as its top priority, Hyundai offers headrest cushions for the rear seats in as standard on select trims. Although not one of the most important features in this list, it still showcases Hyundai’s dedication to cater to the comfort of its customers.

7-inch Digital Instrument Cluster

The biggest highlight on the new generation Creta is its 7-inch full-colour digital instrument console. On the Seltos, you get a rather conventional analogue instrument cluster with a small MID in between. Also, the display on the Creta changes colour scheme depending on the driving mode selected, which is quite a nice touch.

Remote start in Manual Variants

Remote start is one of the connected car features offered on both the Seltos and the Creta, but where the former only offers it in the automatic models, the latter offers it on the automatic as well as manual variants.

E-brake with Auto Hold

Hyundai Creta is also offered with an electronic parking brake. Not only that, but the e-brake also has auto-hold functionality also makes everyday driving easier. Once you bring the car to a complete halt, the e-brake will automatically be engaged, thus allowing you to lift your foot off the brake pedal without rolling the car backwards.

Cooled Glove Box

The 2020 Hyundai Creta offers a cooled glove box as standard on all the variants. The glove box capacity, however, is quite limited, and you can only chill small beverage bottles or chocolates in it.

More Connected Features

While these two SUVs offer similar connected car technology, but the systems on both of them are different from each other. While Hyundai uses the BlueLink system, Kia employs UVO Connect system for its cars. Also, the Creta has an advantage here, with over 50 connected car features. The Seltos, on the other hand, only has 37 connected car features.
