The price range of the Hyundai Venue is from INR 6.5 lakh for the entry E petrol variant to INR 11.10 lakh for the top-spec SX+ DCT petrol. This competitive price has partially helped the Venue attain the second position in the sales chart of the Indian compact SUV segment. The Hyundai Venue E petrol is much cheaper than the base variant of its major competitor, the Maruti Vitara Brezza. In fact, the former is the cheapest vehicle in the compact SUV segment. Nevertheless, the vehicle has been equipped with a decent package of features to ensure its competitiveness with other rivals in the market.

In terms of the exterior, the Hyundai Venue E gets an all-black cascading grille instead of the chrome grille on the high-spec variants. The LED headlamps are similarly designed on all variants. Both the bumpers in the front and rear gets two tones of colours and a silver skid plate for aesthetic purpose. On the side profile, the vehicle is equipped with 14-inch steel rims with the standard wheel covers. The outside rear view mirrors are finished in black and miss out on indicators. The roof lacks silver rails which are available on higher-spec trims. The door handles’ colours match that of the body, creating a perfect harmony.

In terms of the Hyundai Venue E interior, the cabin features an all-black paint scheme and is scattered with satin chrome inserts. The wide range of features right from the base variant will not make you disappointed. Front power windows, manual air conditioning system, front 12V socket, tilt steering, tachometer are included in this list. While there is no infotainment setup available on this variant, it can be equipped with an aftermarket one since some space has been spared for speakers. Furthermore, the door also comes with spacious pockets, which are of great use when you have to store personal accessories like mobile phones, etc. The car is equipped with front seats with adjustable headrests despite the lack of height adjustment system. Cloth upholstery is also provided to ensure the occupants’ comfort.

The Hyundai Venue E can ensure both the driver and the passengers a safe journey with a long list of safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt warning alert, high-speed warning and parking sensors. The vehicle also comes with engine mobilizer and manual central locking; however, the key cannot be remotely controlled.

As regards the powertrain, the Venue E keeps under its hood both petrol and diesel motors. The one featured in the above video is a petrol version but here we would like to provide you with the information on the two types of powertrain which are available in the Hyundai Venue E. The petrol motor is a 1.2-litre VTVT naturally aspirated petrol engine with 4-cylinder which can produce a maximum power of 82 BHP and a peak torque of 115 Nm. The transmission duties on this version are undertaken by a 5-speed MT gearbox. The petrol motor can deliver a fuel mileage of 17.52 kmpl.

On the other hand, the diesel unit gets its power from a 1.4-litre turbo diesel motor with four cylinders. This engine can generate 89 BHP against 220 Nm and comes mated to a 6-speed MT gearbox. The ARAI-certified fuel mileage of this version is 23.7 kmpl.
