MG Hector was the first vehicle launched by the Chinese automaker in our market. It rivals with the likes of Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass. Hector has played a major role in establishing the MGs name in India. It is one of the most feature-loaded cars in its segment. Overall, MG Hector is a good package. It is one of those SUVs, which looks pretty good after getting modified. Here’s we have one such modified Hector, which gets an all-black treatment similar to what you find on the Tata Harrier Black Edition.

How About an ALL BLACK MG Hector Similar to Tata Harrier Black Edition?

The owner of this MG Hector is Mr Sharaf Sha and talking about the modifications, many chrome parts on the outside of the SUV has been replaced with blacked-out inserts. The thick chrome strip under the grille and headlamps and the chrome accents on the fog lamps has been blacked-out. Moreover, the silver-coloured faux skid plate has also been blacked-out. On the side, the stock 17-inch alloy wheels are the biggest letdown in Hector, in terms of the overall design. That’s why the owner of this MG Hector got them replaced with bigger, 18-inch, blacked-out alloy wheels. These aftermarket units look more aggressive than the stock alloy wheels and are wrapped around 235/50/18 section rubber. At the back, the red reflector strip joining the headlamp cluster has been blacked out.

Moreover, the same treatment has been given to the faux skid plate at the rear. Overall, this black edition MG Hector looks quite elegant and has now become a big head turner. This MG Hector is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which develops 141bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed DCT. The SUV is also offered with a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which pots out power and torque outputs of 169bhp and 350 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT. It is retailed at a starting price of Rs 12.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level Style trim and goes all the way up to Rs 18.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec Sharp dual tone trim.
