This Mahindra Thar features a lot of Jeep-inspired elements. Take a look at it to understand the tuner-friendly potential of the new-gen Mahindra Thar.

Mahindra Thar in its second-generation debuted on the Independence Day this year. The off-roader is yet to be launched in the Indian market, as it is slated to go on sale by October 2, 2020. In the new-gen avatar, Mahindra Thar looks a lot more modern and posher than what its earlier generation model was. Critics and purists, however, feel that the radiator grille is a downer on a beautiful design.  But that isn’t of any major concern, as one can always fit in an aftermarket radiator grille. Here’s a picture of the new-gen Mahindra Thar, wherein it gets a new radiator grille along with some more tweaks to look alluring. We came across this digital rendering via the Instagram account of Ayush Dubey.

All-new Mahindra Thar Looks Pulchritudinous With Slight Modifications

Talking of the modifications, the Thar in the pictures gets 7-slat radiator grille from Jeep Wrangler JL. It can be seen that the headlamps are pushed into the outer-most slats on either side as on the Wrangler JL. Furthermore, the stock front bumper has been replaced with a Jeep-like aluminium unit. The outer edges of the bumper can be removed to improve the approach angle. Also, the bumper now houses an electronic winch. On the sides, the size of the wheels has been increased, and they are now shod with A/T grade tyres. The OEM running board has been replaced with a tubular unit that also does the job of a rock slider.
