Anand Mahindra Says Mahindra Scorpio Makes its Own Roads

Anand Mahindra is one of the most successful businessmen in the world. He currently holds the position of Chairman of Mahindra Group.  However, Mr Mahindra is quite famous for his tweets and witty replies. Recently, Anand Mahindra replied to a tweet in a similar fashion, which we couldn’t hold back ourselves from reporting it. It was when Mr Harsh Goenka, Chairman of RPG Group shared a picture of zodiac signs on Twitter. In the image, the Scorpio motif was replaced by a picture of the Mahindra Scorpio. This image was posted with a caption that read as “The zodiac signs as defined by @anandmahindra !”

In reply to this tweet, Mr Anand Mahindra tweeted, “Yes indeed! That’s how I see it. But when I told the Mahindra Scorpio, it replied: I don’t believe in astrology; I make my own road!” Following this tweet, an XUV500 patron replied that with slight modifications, the Leo motif can be replaced with the Cheetah, since the design of the XUV500 is said to be inspired by one.

However, this isn’t the first time that Anand Mahindra has replied to someone on a lighter note. He recently shared a picture of a Mahindra Scorpio, which was tied down to a tree with a chain and lock. The caption for this picture was, “Not exactly a high tech locking solution but at least it shows the owner’s possessiveness! To me, this pic perfectly describes how I feel under lockdown. This weekend I’m going to try breaking that chain..(with my mask on!)”

Talking of the Mahindra Scorpio, it is a ladder-frame SUV. Powering the Scorpio is a 2.2L mHawk oil burner that puts out a rated power and torque output of 140 PS and 320 Nm, respectively. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Earlier, the Scorpio was also offered with the optional 4X4 drivetrain, which isn’t available anymore. Prices for the Scorpio start at Rs. 12.42 lakh and go up to Rs. 16.27 lakh. Moreover, Mahindra is developing the new-gen model of the Scorpio, which is likely to go on sale sometime next year.
