Hyundai Venue’s roaring success is hardly deniable and one of the main reasons behind its success story is the automatic transmission-equipped Venue models. Launched in May 2019 as the company’s first foray into the sub-four-metre SUV segment, the Hyundai Venue stands among top 5 cheapest automatic SUVs in the market. The Hyundai Venue automatic makes use of a 1.0-litre Kappa turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 120 HP against 175 Nm of peak torque and comes with an option of a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Hyundai Creta has been an undisputed king in the SUV segment in India. It happens just the same to the second-gen Creta SUV which was just launched in the country almost a year back. The new Creta comes with modern-day design, well-loaded cabin and multiple engines and transmission options. The new-gen Hyundai Creta comes with three engine options under the hood – including a 1.5-litre Mpi petrol engine mated to a 6-speed iVT, a 1.4-litre Kappa turbocharged petrol mill coupled with a 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel motor that can be had with a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT unit.

The last automatic Hyundai SUV in the lineup is the Hyundai Tucson which seems to gain less popularity than the two earlier siblings. That said, Tucson is still a compelling SUV from the house of Hyundai in the Indian market. The carmaker just launched the updated version of the Tucson in India last year, seeing a host of styling changes and extended feature list.

Hyundai is offering the Tucson with two engine options – a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel unit, both of which are BS6 compliant surely. The Hyundai Tucson is an ‘all-automatic’ SUV, which means there’s no manual transmission option available across the range. It comes with a 6-speed AT for the petrol mill while the diesel burner comes paired with an 8-speed AT unit.
