Base Tata Nexon Souped Up With Snazzy Rims

Tata Nexon is one of the few good-looking SUVs that are on sale in the country today. It starts at Rs. 6.99 lakh and tops out at Rs. 12.70 lakh. However, the base trim misses out on a lot of styling elements that the top-spec trim comes equipped with. To list a few, diamond-cut alloy wheels, body-painted door handles and ORVM caps, fog lamps, and roof rails are one of the many features that the base-spec trim misses out on. But, almost all of these can be added to the entry-level XE trim via the aftermarket route. To back our statement up, we have a set of pictures of a base-spec Nexon that gets all of these styling ingredients.

The car in the pictures belongs to Josemon James. To start with, it gets a set of aftermarket rims, which are 16 inches in diameter and sports a multi-spoke design. The owner has used the same 195-section tyres that come with the Nexon as OEM fitment. Also, it now gets a set of roof rails on the top. These are also available as a part of the official accessory package. The base-spec Nexon gets black-coloured ORVM caps and door handles, which have been painted in the body-colour paint scheme here. With these modifications in place, this particular Nexon looks like a top-spec model. If anything has been modified on the inside, we are not aware of it.

The entry-level XE trims is fairly loaded on the inside as well. It gets a fully-digital instrument console along with some convenience features, such as air-conditioning with heater, front power windows, power steering with tilt adjustability, and multi-drive modes. While it doesn’t come fitted with an infotainment system, it gets a slew of safety features onboard.

The Nexon gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, brake assist, traction control, engine immobilizer, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, roll-over mitigation, brake disc wiping, electronic brake pre-fill, front seat belt reminders, and front seat belt with load limiters and pre-tensioners as standard fitment across the range. However, the top-spec trims also get a rear parking camera, front and rear fog lamps, rear defogger and more.
