The Hyundai Santro is priced entirely under the 7 lakh price mark. It means that with 7 lakh, you can buy the top-spec variant on the Santro’s range with 7 lakh. Even the most expensive variant on the Santro range only cost Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

About the powertrain, the Santro is available with one petrol engine that makes 69PS and 99Nm. There are two gearbox options, a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT unit. There is also a CNG version of the Santro. The CNG-fitted Santro is less powerful than the regular version.

Maruti Baleno

The Baleno is priced from Rs 5.90 lakh to Rs 9.10 lakh. With a budget of 7 lakh, buyers can take home the two lowest variants of the Baleno.

The premium hatchback is available with a petrol engine only. The two lowest-priced variants on the range are powered by a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol unit. This petrol engine is powerful enough to put out 83PS and 113Nm. This engine can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. However, within the 7-lakh range, there is only the manual gearbox on offer.

Maruti Dzire

The Dzire is the leading model in the sedan segment. The range of the Dzire includes L, V, Z, and Z+ variant. For under 7 lakh, you are able to buy the two lowest trims – LXI and VXI. These variants are priced at Rs 5.94 lakh and Rs 6.91 lakh, respectively.

At this price range, you will only get a limited number of features. The standard features of the Dzire include dual airbags, ABS with EBD brake assist, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, front seatbelt pretensioners, as well as a manual AC, tilt-adjustable steering, a multi-information display, and a front power outlet.

The Kiger is practically the sibling of the Nissan Magnite. The variants of the Kiger is mostly similar to the Magnite.
