The Maruti Baleno has got somewhat of a cult following when it comes to aftermarket modifications. We come across quite a few of them regularly, and today we have got this slammed Baleno for you.

The Maruti Baleno is currently the best selling premium hatchback in the Indian market. Even though it was launched back in 2016 and has to compete with newer rivals like the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20, it still remains one of the best buys. Owners love the spacious interiors, the frugal engine, and the nicely specced variants. Also, to help owners have a premium purchasing experience, the Baleno is sold only in Maruti’s NEXA premium dealerships. The Baleno has also sprouted a sprawling aftermarket with loads of customization options available. We at IndianAuto come across modified Balenos quite regularly, and today we have another one from Kerala.

The pictures have been posted by machine_headss over on Instagram, and in it, you can see this comprehensively modified Maruti Baleno which belongs to Joel Paul Harrison. The vehicle keeps the stock paint but other than that most of the things have been changed. You’ll notice the much lower ride height courtesy lowering springs from Cobra Suspension, giving it a much squatter stance. It gets a new Nexa body kit and gets a chrome delete treatment. The car now comes with new 17-inch 8.5j rims shod with fatter 205/45 rubber. Both front and rear get new towing points, there are tiny mirrors atop the ORVMs, and there’s new aftermarket LED taillights as well. Mechanical changes are kept to a minimum, with the only noticeable upgrade being a Simota air intake. Overall this Baleno looks really well, the wider tyres with the slammed ride height especially working wonders for the car.

According to a recent report that has emerged, Maruti Suzuki is currently in the development process of a compact SUV based on the Baleno. Codenamed YTB, it likely to take the shape of a small crossover or a coupe. It is amongst a raft of SUVs that are in different stages of development and a mid-size SUV in collaboration with Toyota is also reported to be in the works.
