At the top of our list of best resale value cars in India is the Toyota Innova Crysta. Not only known as the blockbuster in the large MPV market, but the Toyota Innova Crysta has also been famous for good resale value. This undisputed leader has satisfied all the Indian MPV enthusiasts, thanks to its high comfort levels, ease of ownership, excellent aftersales services as well as its unbeatable reliability.
In particular, the car is priced in the range from INR 14.83 lakh to INR 23.24 lakh for 3 grades G, V, Z with 18 variants in total (ex-showroom). The MPV keeps under its hood powerful engines with both diesel and petrol options available. There are up to three engines offered including a 2.7-litre petrol motor, a 2.4-litre diesel engine and a 2.8-litre diesel unit which can generate 166 PS/245 Nm, 150 PS/343 Nm, respectively. The transmission duties on the petrol version are implemented by 5-speed MT and 6-speed AT units. For the diesel version, while the 2.4-litre oil burner is mated to the 5-speed MT, the 2.8-litre unit is coupled with the 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga - 90%(*)

Launched in India for the first time in 2018, the Maruti Ertiga is offered in four variants including L, V, Z and Z+ with the price from INR 7.44 lakh to INR 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Borrowing the Maruti Swift’s platform, the MPV receives its power from a 1.5-litre gasoline burner which can produce a max power of 105 PS against a peak torque of 138 Nm. Additionally, there is also another 1.3-litre oil burner which can generate 89PS against 200Nm. A 5-speed MT is available with both of the two engines. Moreover, the petrol unit is also available with an optional 4-speed automatic gearbox.
The Ertiga comes with a load of features including projector headlights, fog lights, 15-inch wheels, LED taillights, an infotainment system which measures 7-inches and supports Android Auto and CarPlay connectivity, start/stop button, automatic temperature control with AC vents in the rear. Moreover, the MPV also ensures both driver and the passengers a safe journey with a wide array of safety features including two front airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, hill holder, reverse parking camera, reverse parking sensors, etc.
Basically, the Ertiga is rather smaller than the Innova Crysta; however, when it comes to retaining the original value, it stays the same as the Crysta.

Maruti Vitara Brezza - 90%(*)
Maruti Vitara Brezza offers a muscular side profile.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza is the third car to be in the list of cars with the best resale value in the Indian market. Remarkably, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is the fifth made-in-India to receive a 4-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests. The Maruti Vitara Brezza offers four variants in total including LDI, VDI, ZDI and ZDI+, whose prices range from INR 7.58 lakh (LDI variant) to INR 10.55 lakh (the ZDI+) (ex-showroom).
This SUV is only available with one engine, the 1.3L DDiS200 diesel unit, which can produce 90PS against 200 Nm. The transmission duties are undertaken by a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT unit.
The Ertiga is among the flagship products of Maruti.

In terms of features, the flagship Maruti SUV is well-equipped with smart play touchscreen infotainment unit (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto), Mirror Link functions, cruise control, start/stop push button, automatic rain wipers. Maruti Suzuki Swift - 85% (*)
It comes as no surprise that another car from Maruti Suzuki, the largest selling brand, appeared in the list of best resale value cars in India. The Maruti Swift is the best-selling hatchback in India with a stunning outlook, high mileage, excellent service support from Maruti Suzuki.
The Swift is the Indian car of the year 2019.
The hatchback is on offer with the price range from INR 4.99 lakh to Rs 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in four variants which are L, V, Z and Z+, with 2 engine options: a 1.2-litre gasoline burner with 83 PS/113 Nm and a 1.3-litre oil burner with 75 PS/ 190 Nm. Both engines come mated to 5-speed manual transmission and AMT. The Swift is rather well-equipped with automatic LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, adjustable ORVMs, taillights with LED brake lights, etc. for the exterior and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic temperature control, start/stop push button, etc. for the interior. When it comes to the safety front, the Swift offers two front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seats, parking camera, etc.

Ford EcoSport - 80% (*)
Besides Toyota, Ford is another foreign auto manufacturer to manage to put its flagship SUV, the EcoSport into the list. The Ford EcoSport ranks among the most popular compact SUVs in India, thanks to the high brand's prestige with a muscular look along with a long list of feature options and powerful engines offered by the vehicle The sub-4 metre compact SUV is priced from Rs 7.82 lakh to Rs 11.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) with 6 trims as referred Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium, Titanium+, S. There are three motor options available: a 1.5-litre petrol engine (123PS/150Nm), 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol motor (125PS/170Nm), and a 1.5-litre diesel unit (100PS/205Nm). The first engine unit comes with the 5-speed MT or a 6-speed AT unit; the 1.5-litre diesel is mated to only a 5-speed manual transmission; the 1.0-litre EcoBoost unit comes matted to a 6-speed MT.
The Ford EcoSport can retain 80% of its original value.
