Here’s a detailed review video of the 2020 Datsun Redi-Go facelift. The new model is priced between Rs 2.83 lakh and Rs 4.77 lakh.

Datsun India recently launched the Redi-Go facelift in our market. Here’s a detailed review video uploaded by a YouTube channel named as Vivu’s Autos Vlogs. The review video covers all the exterior and interior updates along with first drive experience of the new model. The BS6 Redi-Go is being offered in six unique colour shade options namely- Sandstone Brown, Fire Red, Vivid Blue, Opal White, Blade Silver and Bronze Grey. Moreover, the hatchback is retailed in six different trims. Four of them are powered by an 800 cc engine, while the remaining two are propelled by a 1.0-litre unit. Datsun Redi-Go MT variants are D, A, T and T(O), while the 1.0-litre trims are offered in T(O) MT and T(O) AMT specifications. The Datsun Redi-Go is among the most affordable cars offered in the Indian market. It rubs shoulders with the likes of Maruti Alto and Renault Kwid.

The updated hatchback is retailed at a starting price tag of Rs 2.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 4.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-of-the-line AMT variant. Compared to the BS4 model, the base trim of the new BS6 Redi-Go is Rs 3,000 more expensive, while the top-spec trim of the hatchback is Rs 40,000 costlier. Talking about the design changes, on the outside, the hatchback now gets sleeker headlamps, L-shaped LED DRLs, a new bumper up front, LED fog lamps and LED signature taillamps. The updated car also features front chrome grille along with two-tone wheel covers. The new Datsun Redi-Go has a ground clearance of 187 mm, which is segment-leading.

Moreover, inside, the car gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The new model comes loaded with safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, speed alarm system and front disc brakes. The hatchback is on sale with 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre gasoline engine options. The former puts out 54 PS of power and 72 Nm of torque, while the latter churns out 68 PS of peak power and 91 Nm of maximum twisting force. The 800 cc motor comes mated to a 5-speed MT, while the1.0-litre mill comes paired with a 5-speed MT as standard and an AMT as optional.
