The 2021 Tata Safari is the latest entrant in the rapidly growing sub-Rs 25 lakh 7-seat SUV category. Check out this video to watch the new Safari reaching its top speed.

After being showcased as the Gravitas concept in both the 2019 Frankfurt Motor show and 2020 Delhi AutoExpo, Tata Motors finally launched the all-new Safari last month. The old Safari was a beloved SUV that was in production for over two decades. It was also the first vehicle in India to be marketed as a lifestyle-oriented product than just being utilitarian. The new Safari is based on Tata’s OMEGARC platform which also underpins the smaller Tata Harrier, and both look quite similar as well but the 7-seater does get a few unique touches to be distinct. It has also garnered a very positive response as over 3,000 bookings have taken place already. Today we came across this video where the new 2021 Tata Safari Hit 200 Kmph

The video has been uploaded by Arun Panwar on YouTube in which we can see this 2021 Tata Safari being driven for a top speed run. The run starts with the Safari in city mode, and the 7-seater SUV pulls strongly till 4th gear, around 130 kmph. The last two gears are considerably longer which means acceleration is slower but keeps on piling up speed. After reaching around 190 kmph the Safari stops accelerating more, though after switching to sport mode, speeds climb up a little to just reach 200 kmph. For a big, heavy SUV which can seat 7 people in comfort, a top speed of close to the double hundred is mighty impressive.

The 2021 Tata Safari comes loaded with features like auto projector headlights with LED DRLs with indicator function, LED taillights, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, semi-digital instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, driving modes, rain-sensing wipers, height-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt and telescoping adjustable steering wheel, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an 8-speaker audio system and more. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist, roll-over mitigation, rear disc brakes and an Electronic Stability Program.
