Kia Motors recently went through a new global brand refresh, complete with a new logo. Now, Kia will be launching the updated Sonet in May 2021 that comes with a few new features. Check out this video that details the changes.

Kia had a successful start in the Indian auto market with the Seltos SUV, and it got another successful product in its portfolio with the launch of the Sonet subcompact SUV in August 2020. Its combination of attractive design, aggressive prices and feature-packed variants led it to sell over 20,000 units within the first couple of months of launch. It is even more impressive when you realize it competes in the most jam-packed segment currently in the market, with the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue as its rivals. Kia has just announced that from the first week of May 2021, the Sonet will come with a new brand logo and updated feature list. Today we came across this walkaorund video of the updated Sonet HTX variant.

Instead of the earlier HTX’s steel wheels with plastic covers, the new variant comes with 16-inch alloys as it takes the place of the now-discontinued Sonet HTK+ diesel-automatic and the 1.0 turbo-petrol DCT automatic. Other features include rear window curtains,  ESC, hill-start assist control, VSC, brake assist, remote engine start, traction control, and driving modes. The ‘Hello Kia’ voice-assisted feature has been added as well, and can now be used to operate the sunroof as well.
